MFG Chemical Acquires AP Tech

AP Tech joins Radical Polymers and Masters Company to form water treatment powerhouse at MFG Chemical.

MFG Chemical, a portfolio company of Windjammer Capital, acquired AP Tech, a recognized leader in solid chemistry solutions for industrial water treatment.

The acquisition of AP Tech, and earlier acquisitions of Radical Polymers and Masters Chemical, position MFG Chemical as a leading provider of strong proprietary products for wide-ranging water treatment needs.

AP Tech was founded in 1999 by Jim Heimert and is headquartered in West Chester, OH. AP Tech pioneered the use of solid water treatment chemistry as an alternative to traditional liquid products.

Over the past 25 years, the company has built a reputation with service companies for innovation, safety, sustainability, and a wide range of proprietary products. Today, AP Tech serves hundreds of water treatment service companies around the world with its proprietary solid chemistry technologies.

Katie Lee, AP Tech CEO, commented: “The AP Tech team is thrilled to be a part of MFG Chemical. Together, we now offer customers one of the industry’s most comprehensive portfolios of both liquid and solid water treatment solutions. This expanded capability enables us to deliver the best-fit chemistry for each unique application. Combined with MFG Chemical’s extensive research, manufacturing, and financial resources, this partnership strengthens our ability to support service companies and drive growth.”

Paul Turgeon, CEO of MFG Chemical, stated: “AP Tech is a highly regarded innovator in solid chemistry for industrial water treatment. Like Radical Polymers and Masters Company, AP Tech received industry honors as best-in-class supplier to service companies. We are excited about working with the AP Tech team of experts, offering solid and liquid water treatment chemicals, along with the many unique capabilities of MFG Water Technologies. This acquisition reflects our broader growth strategy, and we will continue to pursue strategic acquisitions that expand our technology portfolio and strengthen our position across as a supplier to service companies.”
